The #StartWhereYouAreChallenge
This challenge is for anyone who wants to strengthen typing skills without turning the process into a competition. You can participate publicly, privately, or somewhere in between.
Step 1: Take the free typing test
Choose a test length and complete your first attempt. Save both your WPM and accuracy.
Step 2: Screenshot your score
Your screenshot gives you a simple baseline. Keep it private if you prefer. If you want to share it, post it with #StartWhereYouAreChallenge.
Step 3: Practice at your own pace
Use WPM Zone Practice Mode, Structured Training, or a short routine that works for your schedule. You decide how often you practice.
Step 4: Come back when you are ready
There is no required deadline. Retest after a week, two weeks, a month, or whenever you want to check your progress.
Step 5: Celebrate what changed
Maybe your WPM increased. Maybe your accuracy improved. Maybe you looked at the keyboard less, felt calmer, or made fewer corrections. Progress can show up in more than one way.
Step 6: Share only if you want to
If you are comfortable, share your before-and-after results and tag the challenge. If you would rather keep your scores to yourself, you are still participating. The challenge is about your growth, not public performance.
Challenge reminder
Take it. Screenshot it. Practice. Come back.
20 WPM, 40 WPM, 70 WPM, or somewhere else entirely: your starting point is your starting point. We are celebrating progress, not perfection.
Want a little more structure?
The free WPM Zone tools are available whenever you need them. If you prefer a day-by-day plan, the optional 7-Day Typing Speed Reset is available for $10. It is an optional resource, not a requirement for joining the challenge.
Ready to practice?
Use the free WPM Zone tools as often as you need. No account required.
